The Best Green Beans And Tuna Salad


500g green beans (blanched)

1/4 cup mushrooms

1/4 yellow, green and red peppers, finely chopped

1 tablespoon of olive oil

1 tablespoon of seasoning spice

1 tin tuna

1/2 mayonnaise

1 tablespoon of parsley

How to blanch the green beans?

- in a saucepan bring water to a boil and add a pinch of salt.

- In a large bowl, prepare an ice bath by combining cold water and ice tubes.

- Add the prepared green beans to the boiling water, and set your timer to 3 minutes. The green beans should be green in colour, crisp and tender.

- Remove the green beans from the boiling water and place them in ice bath water for 5 minutes. Drain out.


On another saucepan, add olive oil, mushrooms, green, yellow, and red peppers, and the seasoning spice. (Warm it a bit, do not overcook). Add the blanched green beans. and mix the ingredients and remove them from the stove.

Let it cool down, and add tuna, mayonnaise, parsley, and gently told mayonnaise into the rest of the ingredients.

Serve it with as a side with braaied meat.
