Christmas Main Dish Ideas: Sticky Honey Pork Chops

Christmas is 26 days away and it's time to start thinking about what to serve on the day. I love having at least two central meats on the day of but not everyone can afford Turkey and Gammon. So I thought I would pitch alternative ideas that would still be just as good!

I love me some pork. I love it sweet. I love it with spice. I love it chilli. But most of all, I love it sticky!! The stickier the better in my personal opinion and I will not be taking any personal opinions on that lol. You'll love this recipe and if you scroll through my profile you'll know that honey is my favourite ingredient.

Without further ado, here it is!

Sticky Honey Pork Chops

• 4 Pork Chops

• 1 teaspoon of Paprika

• 1 teaspoon of Cayenne

• 1- 2 teaspoons of Salt

• 1- 2 teaspoons of Black Pepper

• 1 tablespoon of oil

• 2 cloves minced Garlic

• 1 thumb of ginger, grated

• 1/8 cup of Worcestershire sauce

• 1/8 cup of Soy Sauce

• 1/3 Cup of Honey

• Juice of 1 lemon

• Mix together the paprika, cayenne, salt and pepper.

• Sprinkle the mix over the pork and place aside

• Heat your pan and add oil once it is really hot.

• Place pork chop on the hot oil and cook each side for three minutes

• Remove them from pan

• Mix together honey, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic and ginger

• Add to the pan and cook until slightly reduced and sticky.

• Add your pork chops back in and glaze until delicious and sticky

Alternative Cooking

You can make these chops in the oven too. Just pierce the fat rind of the pork with a skewer or fork. Add all the ingredients together and bake for 20- 25 minutes or until sticky at 190°C temperature

Serve immediately with some rice or a salad of your choosing! 🤤
