Ingredients

1 pound chicken gizzard

4 slices bacon

1 quart chicken broth

2 carrots, peeled and chopped

1 small onion, minced

The gizzard, also referred to as the ventriculus, gastric mill, and gigerium, is an organ found in the digestive tract of some animals, including archosaurs, earthworms, some gastropods, some fish, and some crustaceans.

 

 

When it comes to cooking chicken gizzards, you need to approach it the same way you would when cooking any other chicken part, such as livers. You need to wash the gizzards to get rid of the dirt. After that, put it inside the pot, turn the stove on, add salt to taste, and continue cooking until it turns brown. Chop vegetables such as onions, tomatoes, and green peppers and fry them with oil. Remove the gizzards from the other pot and mix them with the fried vegetables. You can serve this with rice
