Here is a simple custard scone recipe for the June school holiday.

3 cups of flour 

Sugar 

Butter 

Custard powder

Bicarbonate soda

Eggs depend how cups you want to bake 

Vanilla essence 

Buttermilk

Sift in the flour, baking soda, sugar, and salt.

Rub in the butter with your fingertips.

 

Mix buttermilk and custard in a small bowl.

Add one egg and vanilla extract. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients.

Mix everything together with a wooden spoon.

 


Roll out and cut on a floured surface.

 

I dusted mine with flour or brushed it with an egg.

Bake for 18 minutes at 180 C. It's almost the June school holiday. We all know that due to the weather conditions, kids are much safer in doors, but sitting the whole day doing nothing makes one hungry. So we thought the best solution for mothers, sisters, and aunts was to bake homemade custard scones because of the sweetness and the good smell. Kids will enjoy them.
