Television and radio personality Somizi Mhlongo known to many as "Somgaga" is not a Chef, but what just happened will leave you in a great state of shock.
This was after Somizi announced that he had been nominated in the World Food Awards. Somizi was the chosen one out of the whole of South Africa , and will represent the country at the award ceremony.

Somizi took what had happened to him and turned it into a lesson to be learned. Even though he is not a qualified Chef, his capabilities were enough to give him an opportunity to be recognized internationally.
This is a lesson that anything as long one is gifted, he/she can be anything he/she desires to be.
Somizi has been showing his passion for cooking for quite a long time. His dishes are spectacular even though he never attained any qualification in cooking. There are people who desire to change their line of works or to try out other professions but have not managed to do so because of fear.
They fear failing to make it in the new fields for different purposes. However, what is happening with Somizi Mhlongo is a testimony that nothing is impossible as long as you are willing to do it. You should never let fear be the determining factor in chasing your dreams. Somizi has been through a lot of criticisms but he never let negativity get the better of him.
He kept his focus on the golden price, and it just paid off on Thursday when he beat other qualified Chefs in South Africa. He has been good with his cooking and never looked back.
