The president of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa made an address on the 30th of September 2021. In this address, there were notable adjustments which are set to be done as the economy returns to normalcy. With effect from Friday the 1th of October 2021, according to the president, the nation will be moving to the alert level 1. Good news was shared to all those who consume alcohol and wish to have it in restaurants, bars and public places.
An adjustment is set to be done on the curfew hours and this was seen as good news to all those wish to spend their time going out. Those who go to restaurant and bars can now enjoy the extended hours as they are now permitted to hang out until midnight. Curfew hours are set to be adjusted as there will be a curfew from midnight up until 4:00 a.m.
Among sectors which is set to face some changes include gatherings. The number of those who are allowed to gather at any given time was adjusted in this address. The president stated that no more than 750 people can gather on anything given indoors event. Outdoor gatherings are being restricted to 2000 people.
This was seen as good news for those who do some musical shows to church functions among other events.
Funerals which are often viewed as the mass spreaders of the virus had a special adjustment to the numbers involved. The president said that a maximum of 100 people are expected to be in attendance. The funeral proceedings are not expected to last more than two hours.
These are the major adjustments which are made by the present this evening as he address the nation.
Part of the address was to encourage the citizens of this country to get vaccinated against the coronavirus pandemic.
