Find Out Why Men Must Eat Mogodu (tripe) Regularly - Pictures

Mogodu, known as tripe in English, is a type of offal meat made from the edible stomach lining of farm animals such as cows and sheep. or cooked version of the gastric lining of a cow/sheep.

Beef tripe is one of the most widely consumed varieties. Tripe is usually tough meat that must be properly cooked to be edible. It is usually cooked using moist heat methods such as boiling or braising.

There is a misconception that mogodu (tripe) has no nutritional value, but that is not true.

Mogodu (tripe) is very rich in nutritional values.

 High in protein

Mogodu (callus) contains the nine essential amino acids your body needs to build muscle and regulate immune function, for example.

 Helps You Lose Weight

Mogodu is high in protein so it will help you lose weight by making you feel full longer, which means you are unlikely to overeat when your stomach is full of protein.

Mogodu is low in calories so it is recommended for people who are careful about their weight.

 It's cheap

Unlike other meats like beef and chicken, mogodu is cheaper and more affordable with a kilo of mogodu that costs around R30.00.

It is a good source of vitamins

Mogodu is a good source of vitamins such as niacin (B3), folate (B9) and cobalamin (B12). Niacin is an essential nutrient as it lowers cholesterol, relieves arthritis, helps treat psoriasis, and reduces the risk of heart disease.

Folate is vital as it is needed to make red and white blood cells in the bone marrow, while B12 is essential as it prevents megaloblastic anaemia and maintains healthy nerves and blood cells in the body.

Nobody is very healthy and should be consumed regularly for better health.
