Ways On How To Get Rid of Skin Tags Using Home Remedies – (Naturally)

Effective Home Remedies To Get Rid Of Skin Tags Naturally

Skin tags are harmless, benign growths that seem to pop up in the most inconvenient areas of your body, such as your neck, armpits, and eyelids. Although they’re not usually cause for alarm, they may bother you for cosmetic reasons or because of discomfort, especially if they easily rub on clothing or jewelry.

The cause of skin tags isn’t quite clear; however, one study links skin tags to obesity and type 2 diabetes. Another study links the human papillomavirus (HPV) to skin tag development. Pregnancy and other hormonal changes may also contribute to the growth of skin tags.

You don't have to go for surgery to get rid of these tags.

Here are 8 home remedies you can use to remove skin tags:

Apple Cider Vinegar

This is one of the best home remedies for skin tags on the neck. Soak a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar and apply it over the skin tag. Use this remedy for about a month for complete removal of skin tag.

Soak a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar and place it on top of the skin tag. Place a bandage over the cotton ball to keep it in place for 15-30 minutes. Remove and wash the area. Do this daily until the skin tag falls off.

Lemon Oil

Apply this oil on the skin tags and leave it on. Repeat this 2-3 times a day. Lemon oil is an astringent and balances PH at the skin tag site. This causes the skin tag to shed by itself.

Garlic helps improve the appearance of skin by reducing inflammation. To naturally get rid of a skin tag, apply crushed garlic over the tag, and then cover the area with a bandage overnight.

Wash the area in the morning. Repeat until the skin tag shrinks and disappears.

Tea tree oil

Tea tree oil is an essential oil that may help treat several skin conditions. Anecdotal evidence suggests that it may help get rid of skin tags.

People who try it apply a few drops of the oil to a cotton ball, which they affix to the skin tag with a bandage. They leave the cotton ball on the skin tag for 10 minutes, three times a day. It may take several days or weeks for the tag to fall off.

However, a person should exercise caution, as tea tree oil can irritate sensitive skin. Do not use this oil on tags in the eye area.

Nail Polish

Nail polish is also a good way for removing skin tags at home. Apply nail polish over the area. Let it set and dry, then remove it. Repeat the process 3 times a day for a few days until you see visible results.

Pineapple Juice

This is one of the simplest ways to remove skin tags on skin. Apply pineapple juice every day at least 2-3 times, but don’t rinse it off. Repeat it for at least 10 days, until the skin tag is completely scraped off. Pineapple juice is also known to work on moles and warts.

Duct Tape

Stick a piece of duct tape to the skin tag for a continuous period of 10-12 days until the skin tag is completely removed. This is an effective home remedy to get rid of skin tags.

Onion Juice

Cut an onion, and leave it overnight in a vessel containing some salt. Extract the juice from it, the next morning. Apply this juice every night on the skin tag for at least 10-12 days. It will completely remove the tag.

Banana peel

Don’t toss away your old banana peels, especially if you have a skin tag. The peel of a banana can also help dry out a skin tag.

Place a piece of banana peel over the tag and cover it with a bandage. Do this nightly until the tag falls off.

Peppermint Oil

Apply a mixture of 2-3 drops of peppermint oil and castor oil on the skin tags. Leave the oil on overnight. Repeat this every night. Peppermint oil has antiseptic as well as anti-inflammatory properties. In combination with the castor oil, it also reduces any swelling that may develop after the skin tag removal.

Will Skin Tags Grow Back After Being Removed? Skin tags do not grow back after removal. If you develop other skin tags in the same place after removal, you may just be prone to having them in that area.

Some of the many home removal techniques are more effective than others. Doctors often warn against their use, however.
