Two ladies left this shop in the Johannesburg CBD after buying nothing.

Women are born shoppers and known to be picky when it comes to the fabrics they put on to cover their bodies.

Experts believes shopping is in the genes of our mothers and sisters and this started in the stone ages when they used animal skins (leathers) to sew dresses that perfectly fits them.

" I do window shoppings 3 times every week and that gives me an opportunity to check what might look good on me , when I come for the real shopping" said Nthando from Tembisa.

It is a widely accepted norm that women must be picky in whatever they put on their bodies in order to portray a good image in the society. Societies around the world holds the opinion that , a woman 's attire portrays he true nature which often leads to confusion and complications.

"Fine feathers makes fine birds, and the way a woman dresses represents her inner self and hervdefinition of life" said 57 year old man from Makatxane Village , outside Polokwane in the Limpopo province.

However experts believes that, these views about woman in societies around the world are invalid and disastrous. They believe it is this views that exercerbate gender based violence and the killing of woman and children. Choosing what women must wear is in itself an infringement of their legal rights.

If your against gender based violence, please feel free to air your views in the comments section and don't forget to hit the share button.
