Why is God against tattoos?
I've noticed that this whole thing of having tattoos and showing them off has become a new trend. People have turned this thing into a normal thing.
If you read the Bible in the book of Leviticus you will see that God is against tattoos. But the question is: Did tattoos really start in Leviticus? Because I can assure you that there is more to Tattoos than just having something inscriptedly written on your skin, something else prompts that. Think about it.
I believe that, If Jesus Christ had tattoos on his skin he would've never been crucified. I say this because he would seize to be God and fall victim to the same law he came on this earch to fulfill.
If tattoos were right for you, why is it that there is no generation of people in the Bible whom God referred to as true worshippers for having tattoos ?. If you have the answer to this question, i challenge you to comment on the comment section below. Tattoos are evil and they are not good for you. If tattoos were right for you why is it that there is no Scriptural references of confirmation in the new testament to uphold the uprightness of tattoos? Why ?. Let's not fool each other guys, let us make sure that we speak what is right to each other.
The old testament reads thus: "you shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print or tattoo any marks upon you; I am the Lord. Let us be like Jesus Christ. The book of Hebrews says: "He was tempted in every way; yet He never sinned". Tattoos are evil and they should never be practiced.
Jesus Christ was never going to be recognised by John the Baptist if he had any tattoos on his body, why is that?. That's because you can't be a contaminated lamb and be sent by God to redeem contaminated people, hence the recommended requirement in the old testament of a sacrifice was a lamb without spot or wrinkles, however let me leave you with this quote from the bible scriptures : "Leviticus 19:27-28"
You shall not round the corners of the hair of your heads nor trim the corners of your beard [as some idolaters do. 28 - You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead nor print or tattoo any marks upon you; I am the Lord.
Tattoos are wrong; not only because they are inscriptedly written on one's skin however what really makes tattoos wrong is that the biggest problematic contributive factors of tattoos is that they promote the spirit of idolatry and because there are two ways of doing a tattoo you first perceive it and then perform it, so tattoos are wrong not because they are not decorative but because God has never created you to look like a two legged postcard of a human printing shop.
So in conclusion: God hates tattoos because they don't glorify Him.
God bless us all in Jesus name. To God be the everlasting Glory.
