Breaking|Mandla Mandela Calls For Miss Universe Boycott|See Reason Why

Inkosi Zwelivelile Mandla Mandela, the grandson of former President Nelson Mandela, has called on African countries to boycott the Miss Universe pageant, which will be hosted in Israel in December. Miss South Africa 2021, 24-year-old Lalela Mswane, was crowned on Saturday at Grand Arena, GrandWest in Cape Town, and has been named this year's Miss Universe representative.

"Israel is an apartheid state, and we will continue to mobilize all freedom-loving people throughout the world to boycott, divest, and pass sanctions against the terrible apartheid system," Mvezo Komkhulu said in a statement (The Great Place).

"Everyday Apartheid Israel violates the Palestinian people's fundamental human rights and commits crimes against humanity "The statement went on to say. Israel is an apartheid state that continues its horrific occupation and unlawful settlement growth in defiance of international law. We must continue to isolate Apartheid Israel, just as we did Apartheid South Africa.

"We urge on all African nations to withdraw from the Miss Universe contest in Apartheid Israel in protest of the AU Commissioner's unilateral issuance of observer status."

"Decisions by Miss Malaysia and Miss Indonesia have now set the trend, and we call on all Miss Universe participants from around the world to send us letters announcing their withdrawal and disassociating from an event that normalises Apartheid Israel's daily killing, bulldozing of homes and orchards, and maiming of young and innocent children," the statement continued.
