Do You Want Fuller And Healthier Hair? Look No Further, These 2 Steps Are All You Need

No one wants their hair to be thin, flat, or limp, so we understand if you're envious of the woman with the incredibly thick and plentiful strands. That might be you, too. Simply follow these advice from Good Housekeeping Institute Beauty Lab scientists and hair specialists for thicker, fuller, longer hair overnight, in a week, and in a month, including home cures and what to eat for thicker, fuller, longer hair.

1. Use a shampoo and conditioner that thickens hair.

If you don't want to spend money on extensions or supplements, you may always go with the tried-and-true method of volumizing: using a thickening or volumizing shampoo and conditioner. "I prefer to work with what I have," says Devin Toth, celebrity stylist at Salon SCK in New York City, "by using hair products and styling tools to create volume, thickness, and texture."

2. Take care of your hair and scalp.

This may sound obvious, but continuously harming your hair makes getting great-looking hair extremely hard. "If ladies desire thicker-looking hair, they should avoid using too much conditioner in the shower and limit their use of heat styling products," Toth says. By avoiding breakage and hair loss, steps such as using heat protectant spray and not over-washing your hair can make it look thicker and stronger over time.
