Shudufhadzo Musida (born 18 July 1996) is a South African model and Miss South Africa 2020 winner. She will represent South Africa in Miss World 2021 as the first title holder from the province of Limpopo, and her primary language is Tshivenda (Venda). Musida is an outspoken champion for mental health awareness and the empowerment of women and children.
Musida was crowned Miss South Africa in the finals held at the Table Bay Hotel in Cape Town in October 2020. She had won the public vote before the finals. For winning the final, the winner received a million rand, a completely equipped Sandton apartment, and a Mercedes-Benz C200 Cabriolet for a year. Musida is an advocate for mental health awareness as well as children's and women's educational and economic development. Musida cites former Miss South Africa and Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi as a role model. She will compete in the upcoming Miss World 2021 pageant and represent South Africa.
On July 18, 1996, Shudufhadzo Musida was born. Musida is from Ha-Masia village in the Limpopo province's Vhembe District Municipality . She got a Bachelor of Social Science degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Pretoria. She was completing an Honors degree in International Relations at the University of Witwatersrand when she won Miss South Africa. Her mother, Thandi, is a real estate agent, and she is one of two sisters. Her Venda heritage is important to her, and she appreciates traditional Venda cuisine.
When Shudu won Miss SA, it was a big inspiration to women in Limpopo, especially those of her tribe. She is just a clear example that Venda women are beautiful, and she is a good representation of them as well as being a natural beauty.
