In this way, you will boost the effectiveness of the oil and you will get an adequate cleaning of the teeth.
2 teaspoons of coconut oil (30 ml)
2 teaspoons of sodium bicarbonate (20 g)
½ tablespoon of mint oil, peppermint, cinnamon, or other herbs to give flavor (5 ml) (optional)
Heat the coconut oil over low heat for a couple of minutes. The goal is to make it more liquid. In this way, it will be easier to melt it.
In a small saucepan, pour the coconut oil and the sodium bicarbonate and mix them to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
Pour the herbal essential oil a little at a time and continue stirring.
Put the paste on the toothbrush and then brush your teeth as you usually would. Remember to also brush the tongue and the inside of the cheeks.
Rinse with water.
You can also prepare a quantity of toothpaste with coconut oil sufficient for the whole week. You only have to maintain the proportions between the various ingredients and preserve the toothpaste in a clean glass container.
In this case, do not put the toothbrush directly into the container in order not to contaminate it. Help yourself with a small spoon or a spatula to collect the toothpaste and apply it to the toothbrush.
