1. The Grande Complication – $280,000
Believe it or not, the most expensive Breitling watch isn’t a wristwatch. It is actually a very very select series of pocketwatches known as The Grande Complication. This masterpiece of watch design was a collaboration between Bentley and Breitling, and it’s uncertain how many were made. Some sources say three, others say one.
This 18K gold watch has 700 different moving parts as well as a stylized engraving of one of the founders of Bentley Motors. As one of the rarest watches in the world, the exclusivity is definitely part of its draw. This one also comes with a perpetual calendar, if you’re a fan of lunar work. Wild? A bit.
It’s worth noting that this is one of the very few, if only, pocketwatches Breitling ever made. They are considered to be one of those pieces that actually makes history because it’s not a strapped watch. Owning one of these, technically, means you’re owning a piece of history.
It may be hard to find one of these. Even if you are able to find someone willing to part with theirs, you might not afford it. For a whopping $280,000, it can be yours…if you can find a seller. Of course, that’s the last public sale price we’ve seen.
2. Breitling Bentley Flying B Diamond White Gold Watch – $255,000
Things are going to get a little tricky with this list, because you’re going to see a lot of Flying B models on here. To date, this is the most expensive of this series, and it’s easy to see why. This watch is entirely covered in beautiful, glimmering diamonds! According to the statistics, this watch carries 11.62 Carats of diamonds on every corner of the build.
Along with a diamond-encrusted body, this watch is primarily made from 18K white gold. Only 50 of these beauties ever hit the market. Most of the ones on the market have a retail price based on the serial number it has. Number 001 is the most prized, at $255,000. However, you can get a serial number like 15 or 16 for as little as $150,000.
Like with other ultra-limited runs, this is a watched watch. You will have a very hard time finding one of these in the wild on your own.
3. The Breitling for Bentley Collection Model E516- $232,500
If you haven’t guessed, Bentley’s collaborations with Breitling are the gold standard of their watches…pun intended! This beautiful gold watch was one of the many products of a collaboration between the two companies. This particular model features a solid 18K rose gold watch body with diamonds surrounding the strap, bezel, and face.
As a hefty watch, the materials alone would cost thousands of dollars. Many Breitling fans will know, the square face of the watch is a major change from Breitling’s typical circular shape. If you’re looking for a standout watch, this will be a goodie. Unfortunately, trying to source one is a pain.
Like others on this list that feature diamond all over the body, the idea behind this watch is that you will always be able to see it sparkle and shine regardless of how the light hits it. I suppose you could say that this will keep you looking “iced out.”
4. Breitling For Bentley Mulliner Tourbillon – $175,000
Oh, now this is just downright stately. Another Bentley and Breitling collaboration worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. This elegant, classic watch features a tourbillon, a pointer-style display, as well as several other fascinating chronograph features for the serious time-teller. The chronograph is insanely powerful, capable of measuring 1/6 of a second!
Unlike most of the other watches on this list, the Bentley Mulliner comes with a wider range of different accessories and parts. It’s possible to switch straps and add new accents. After all, you always should be able to wear a watch that helps you coordinate your outfits and flaunt your personal style.
These are a little bit more common (though still a struggle) to find. They’ll only set you back $175,000 or so, if they’re new. If they are used or secondhand, you might be able to find them cheaper. Even so, sourcing one of these can still prove to be a pain in the neck—especially if you insist on authenticity.
5. The Bentley Motors Complications Collection – $174,280
In a lot of ways, the Bentley Motors Complications Collection is about as classic as you can get from the brand itself. It has the typical round watch face with a sculpted bezel. It has the same features that make a Breitling watch so popular. Of course, there are also added preks—including a fancy nod to Bently on the watch face.
Most of this watch is made from platinum and sapphire crystal, which is why it’s so expensive. Between that and the limited run, its price tag seems to make a lot more sense. Finding any of these watches in the wild is going to be a challenge, which is why you might want to ask for a professional source.
6. The Bentley Collection Model A657 – $173,500
So, this is almost exactly the same as the Bentley Collection model E516, with a couple of little changes. Much like the E516, this watch has a fairly unusual rectangular face as well as a ton of diamonds that cover everything from the bracelet to the bezel, all the way to the face.
The difference, it seems, with this model is that the metal is different. It appears to be regular gold instead of rose gold, which means that you would be able to get the right shade you want in different models. This is a little bit less expensive than most others, so you can pay the same amount that you’d have to for a typical condo.
Even if it is not one of the top five most expensive watches on this list, we’re going to point out the obvious.
7. The Breitling Bently B05 Unitime Watch – $100,919
If you haven’t guessed, this is yet another Breitling x Bentley collaboration. This time around, the B05 Breitling is more of a classic watch complete with the signature round face, leather stitched strap, and Chronomat-style design. Saying this is definitely a “gentleman’s watch” is a fair assumption.
Around the bezel of the watch, you can find some gorgeous diamond accents. Like most other major watches from Breitling, this is made of solid 18K rose gold, so it’s safe to say it’s going to remain a popular item for years to come. Oh, and it’s also waterproof up to 100 meters.
This is one of the few exceptionally pricey watches that you can find online, ready for sale. Fans of luxury would be wise to snap it up. Chances are that it will sell out sooner than you think…not that most of us could afford it, anyway.
8. Breitling Bentley GMT J4736267 – $87,880
Bentley definitely seems to be the collaborator that insists on having high-end prices, don’t you think? This one is one of the many the two companies came up with, but it’s a bit unique. While it still has the classic round face, there are several features that seem unique to this one.
The diamonds are pretty common on a variety of different watches, but the mother of pearl face? Not so much. This has a beautifully painted black mother of pearl dial set that shimmers in the sun. Between that, the 18K white gold, and the black carbon accents, it’s easy to see why this is a popular attention-grabber among aficionados.
At $87,880 for a brand new model, it’s safe to say that you are going to have a hard time affording this unless you’re really well off.
9. The Breitling For Bentley Collection Model Mark IV 29 – $82,300
The Mark IV series became one of the bigger “series within a series” for the Bentley by Breitling. In this case, we see designers proving that “wealth whispers” once more. This watch design is fairly nondescript as far as the ultra-luxurious offerings go, but don’t be fooled. It will still set you back almost $83,000 if you want to buy it.
The 29 is one of the Mark IVs that really keeps things on a subtle stance. The platinum body, the stitched alligator leather bracelet, and the elegant automatic movement make this a watch to behold. If you want a waterproof watch that looks amazing, you’re going to love this pick.
10. The Bentley GMT R4736267 – $82,675
Yep, it’s another GMT model, and another Bentley collaboration that took flight in recent years. This time around, we see a bolder, more daring look than the GMT model above. Like the one above, you get that same elegant and classic Breitling watch exterior that we’ve all come to know and love. It also has a lot of 18K rose gold and a “black carbon” strap.
Classy and bold with its color scheme, this is the kind of watch that you take when you want people to pay attention. Its rose gold, diamond, and beautiful black mother of pearl face make a point of keeping your wrist looking wealthy. This type of elegance is rarely found these days, so you need to make sure that you grab one of these before it’s too late.
Of course, high quality workmanship like this will still cost an arm and a leg. So if you want to grab this, you may need as much as $82,675. (Note: We have also seen this watch model sold for as low as $70,000. However, we could not confirm whether it was authentic or if it was used.)
