One of the most unwelcome signs of aging in women is droopy skin, particularly around the chest area. Fortunately, there are some things you can do to control this.
A study done by the University of California has shown that different parts of a female’s body age at different rates and that the breasts age faster than all the other body parts.
As years go by and you start getting older, the production of the two body proteins, Elastin and Collagen slows down. These two proteins are responsible for giving your skin it’s healthy and plump appearance. Hence when you get older, the skin starts to sag and you start to see signs of ageing.
These are some of the things you should stop doing in order to slow down the ageing process:
You should stop wearing a bra that doesn’t provide enough support for your breasts. Wearing a loose fitting bra will cause your breasts to jiggle and bounce, which eventually causes them to sag.
Avoid high impact workouts. According to scientists, when women run, their breasts don’t just move up and down, on top of the force of gravity as each foot hits the ground, this causes unnecessary pressure on the breast tissue.
A lack of food also has an effect on sagging breasts.
It is a well-known fact that old age cannot be avoided but there are ways of delaying aging. You should always ensure that your skin is well-moisturized. Eating avocados, sunflower seeds and sweet potatoes are great ways of ensuring that your skin is always fresh.
You should always apply sunscreen, particularly SPF30. Sunscreen prevents premature aging if you’re always going to be exposed to the sun.
Wear a well-fitting bra that supports your breasts to prevent them from sagging. If you exercise a lot, make sure that you have a sports bra.
