Having a snake as a pet is common, what is not common is having the "Anaconda type" of a snake as a pet.
Present Nair from Starwood, Phoenix in the north of Durban is one of the few people that have an Anaconda as a pet. Present Nair is very fond of snakes, he does not only have one snake, has many of them!
The owner of the snake described his pet as a non-venomous beautiful black and yellow snake. His 1.8 m yellow female pet named Medusa went missing on Thursday. The snake was temporally settled in a tube when her cage was being cleaned. That's when she found her way out and escaped.
The owner appealed to anyone who might come across his pet to contact him or his family member on 0826059530 /0827456375 or 0861234333.
Residents of Starwood and nearby places are advised to be cautious and be on the lookout for the snake as the owner believes that his pet is still around Starwood.
