One thing I've noticed over the past few days is that many centipedes and millipedes have invaded my home. I've been finding them everywhere and it lead me to wonder why this was. Not wanting to kill the creatures, I did some research. So if you have found something similar happening in your own home, this is what you need to know.
Seeking shelter :
First and foremost, you need to know that thee creatures are actually very helpful to you. They eat a lot of other insects that invade your home like cockroaches and spiders and can actually be very helpful with pest control. However I found that the reason they have been invading my home is because of the recent cold weather. We have been experiencing a lot of rain recently and these are condition's that these pests cannot survive. So they've instead found warmth and shelter indoors. However this isn't a bad thing.
While these creatures help with pest control, they are also essentially harmless to human beings. They are not poisonous and they do not cause any damage to your home. Meaning that they are helping you more than you are helping them. So what should you do about this.
Action that you can take :
If you absolutely want to get rid of them than you can take various different forms of action. Since they do not bite you can actually remove them yourself, however you can also hire a professional exterminator to have them removed. However I wouldn't advised spending the money to have them killed, because as soon as the weather clears up you will start seeing less and less of them.
