Crocodiles are preyed on by a wide range of predators, including large cats like jaguars and leopards, as well as large serpents like anacondas and pythons. Other croc predators include hippos and elephants. Predators such as herons, egrets, and eagles, as well as wild pigs, prey on baby crocodiles in particular.
1. The Jaguars
Jaguars have been seen devouring crocodiles. In their respective domains, crocodiles and wild cats are often direct competitors for prey.
Jaguars are apex predators, meaning they don't have any natural predators. They can strike first and hence win the fight because they are considerably faster than crocodiles.
Leopards have been known to consume crocodiles. Leopards, like jaguars, compete for land and prey with crocodiles.
That is why, in order to gain supremacy over other species, they will attack and try to eliminate them. Crocodiles, on the other hand, are an excellent supply of protein and fat, thus they will attack them for food.
One of nature's most vicious predators is the python. A python will constrict their prey to death, leaving no escape route.
