The astonishingly talented and soulful singer Ami Faku is an idiosyncratic super star.

Amanda Faku born on the 28th of May in1993 is a musician, performer and songwriter.

She was born and raised in the township of Ezinyoka, Port Elizabeth.


By the age age of 6, Ami had developed a strong love for music, she started singing at a house church where her father was the Pastor.


She later started recording music in early 2012 where her producer. 


She rose to fame as a contestant on The Voice SA season 2 in 2017 and began getting recognition in the music industry.

Ths voice pretty much paved the way for her to be in the music industry. Her undeniable talent and exotic approach to the craft of making music made her stand out in the competition , whick contributed to her longevity on the show , though she did not win the competition her presence was felt.

After she signed a recording deal with The Vth Season, Ami released her debut single "Ndikhethe Wena", which was released on her debut studio album Imali in the year 2019, which became number one in the country.


In 2020, she was featured in a single called "uWrongo" by Prince Kaybee , DJ Shimza and Black Motion. The single pretty much dominated the summer of the year 2020.


 In August  of 2020, she released her EP titled EA Wave Reimagined and in October of 2020, her single with Wichi 1080 "Never Let you go" was released.


In 2021, she released a single "Lala Ngoxolo" featuring Emtee.


Ami is a gifted vocalist with a voice of an angel. Her music is beautifully crafted with passion and exquisite creativity.


Her graceful way of straining her vocal chords to sound a bit more emotional is unique and refreshingly eloquent to hear.


Ami is undoubtedly the most talented soul singer in Mzansi. No one can be of comparison with her in terms of her vocal capability and mellifluous melody.
