She also explained the only conversation she had with Mbethe, she said the only thing that she helped her with was to advise her to explore the funding that is offered by the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture, not that she played any role of making sure that she gets the R1m funding.

"She was in a meeting and I approached her and told her I got accepted to study at the US and I asked her if there is any advice she could give me with regard to fundimg, she then adviced me to explore the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture because they have finding opportunities, that was my first and last conversation with her, she did not make any calls on my behalf, she did not send any emails on my behalf, I apologise because I made it seem like I had a personal relationship with her wich is not the case,"she added.
