One thing Cassper Nyovest and Faith Nketsi have in common is that they made huge transitions in their media careers. The Cassper Nyovest that is known now, is absolutely not the person with a ponytail that was introduced to the South African hip hop industry a few years ago. Nyovest is currently numerous creative spaces and business seems to be his core, he has since transitioned successfully into the "amapiano" music genre, again, he has his own beverage brand, sneaker brand and record label. The ponytail is also out. Faith Nketsi was initially what her nickname insinuates, "Queen of Twerk" who also at some point became a female rapper, and is now an entrepreneur.
All these transitions were and are still being constantly witnessed by their fans, and they have something to say.
Apparently, South African hip hop died the day Cassper Nyovest let go of his ponytail, since then, it has never been the same. Moreover, it died when Faith Nketsi stopped releasing music due to the not so good feedback she received.
