DJ Oskido used every trick in the book in order to make hits for a very long time and everything just fall in place. At certain stages Kwaito lost a bit of its polished sides, he made hits and find its rightful owners as a counter attack.
In South Africa Oskido is one of the colonists of Kwaito and he loves the genre beyond imagination.
I'm impressed by this gentleman when he pointed out that the evolution of music is a marvel to watch and still be part of it. He further said that the debate of the legitimacy of ama piano is over and its distinctive sound is highly regarded.
Despite DJ Oskido being from the old school, he has warm regards for the fresh sound. He takes amapiano as transformed Kwaito by other generations appreciating Kwaito and gave it a facelift.
His positive attitude towards working with young musicians gives him the edge, as an artist, to change and suit the current flow of things in the entertainment industry. Upcoming artists have a lot to learn from and vice-versa.
Kalawa Jazmee has been a home for a lot of musicians who climbed the ladder of progress in the music industry.
Mafikizolo, Trompies, Busiswa, DJ Zinhle, Bongo Maffin, Zonke and DJ Maphorisa are all products of DJ Oskido (Kalawa Jazmee).
DJ Oskido is not impressed by the number of cars he drives but by the of people he has helped.
