It has been published that Gospel musician and TV presenter Winnie Mashaba has separated from her husband of 16 years. How unfortunate.

According to the media publication, it is further said that the musician has also allegedly dropped Makhogo Makgopa from her management team and is now being managed by Tswako Music and Projects, which is owned by Makgopa's nephew, Khaitjadi.

However, according to the publication, the musician didn't want to comment on The separation issue about her marriage as she said that she doesn't discuss her private life out of respect for her husband's dignity and respect for her in-laws and "any possible future in-laws".

Winnie said, "I will never go to the media to discuss the separation. Even if I can get married again to or five times, I will never go to the media, because I respect the family I am currently married in. I don't want them to look like they are not good enough because I feel like I got something better... I don't want to bring attention to them. Also the family I might marry into in the future... I don't want to carry the baggage into it and be labelled as the wife who spreads her family affairs in the papers. I respect people's feelings a lot".

According to the media publication, a source close to the musician claim thatt the marriage had broken down after years of infidelity (which is a tough situation)and irreconcilable differences between the star and her husband.

Another source has disclosed that the musician is currently going through counselling to deal with the separation from her former husband.

It has been further reported that Makgopa had not responded to the request for a comment on the story of separation
