TV: Legacy Has Been Canceled - Here's What You Need To Know

Part of Multichoice vision to adapt to the change of their voracious customers appetite, they have decided to cancel the next season of the popular TV show that aired on Mnet. Just last week, they were hosting a showcase that aimed to keep their viewers updated on the upcoming shows that they have in store for them in 2022. Join us as we unpack the story and give you some insights on what happened.

Ever since the show hit our screens it has drawn over a million viewers, some which have recently subscribed into the premium version of Dstv. Based on their findings, the more a series exist for an extended period of time, the less viewers get excited about it and this simply means that they can longer make money from it. The legacy is produced by Tshedza Pictures which was co-founded by Phatutshedzo Makwarela and Gwidyon Benyon.

Cast from the show

We have seen some of the most iconic actors that have proved that acting is in their blood. This includes:

— Dineo Price

— Siyabonga Thwala (taking the role of Msizi Zulu)

— Petra Potgieter (Trix Vivier)

— Felicity Price (Mary-anne Barlow)

— And so much more

The show is expected to continue until next year September. You can refer to the official statement which was released by Multichoice and the production company below.

I think Multichoice has made a very bad decision because more people were starting to opt for their premium subscription in order to watch the infamous show. There's nothing wrong with diversifying their programs in order to meet the demand, but this should have been communicated with the viewers by atleast using a survey that is going to give them an overview of what is happening. But i guess we just have to get used to this in the future. What are your thoughts about this? Let's engage on the comments section below, we'd love to hear from you.
