She was one of the best actors in Muvhango, where she played the role of Nonny Nkosi, a character who was full of drama. The South African actress is also a dancer and a businesswoman. Phindile recently ventured into business, she owns a Car Wash & Shisa Nyama, speaking to Sunday World she said, "I have always wanted to have a business in the food & hospitality industry because I love cooking."

Phindile Gwala rose to fame after she was cast in the SABC2 drama series, Muvhango. She made her name as a household favourite during her five years in Muvhango. The actress doubles up as a TV personality too. When she landed the role to play Fikile in one of the most-watched drama- series Imbewu the seed fans did not doubt that she would slay the part.

The business’s name is Lotha’s carwash, which is believed to be a combination of their daughters’ names Lola and Thato. Phindile says that she has always wanted to be in the food and Hospitality industry because cooking is her passion. When the official opening of her shisanyama, she was even cooking for customers. Celebrities graced the opening of the couple’s carwash to support one of their own in her hustle.

The star had her share of bad luck in relationships before she met Armando. She was married, but her husband died in a car accident, leaving her with a daughter, Thato Gwala. Currently, her Congolese beau is a doting father to Thato and husband to Phindile. The two can soon be named as one of the power couples in Mzansi. After being in the entertainment industry for so long, they have registered for their own production company called Ngandu Productions. The company gives services for films, adverts and many media-related jobs.

Phindile is not the first celebrity to venture into business, Ayanda Thabethe recently opened a beauty salon.
