Chriselda was tested positive for covid-19 last month. She announced on Twitter that after contracting the deadly virus, she was in pain while fighting for her life. She added that she's grateful to God for granting her another chance to love. Chriselda's isolation period has lapsed she will be away for a few more days to regain strength.

The protest action ended with 346 of the 621 SABC employees opting for voluntary severance packages. The other 275 employees are those who occupied positions that have become unnecessary.
