This 34 year old award winning South African television presenter, musician (singer and songwriter) infamous for presenting on Sabc 3s Expresso morning show and being the face of Outsurance - that is before the scandal on 2020 that tainted his name and brand.
Involved in a public cheating scandal and alleged abuse claims by now ex-wife Monique Muller, Katlego Maboe was stripped of his titles as an Expresso and Outsurance. This in turn lead to him having to step away from the limelight.
But, now he is back and is suing those in question for defamation of character. Specifically his estranged ex-wife Monique Muller, her brother Seth Muller, the founder of women for change and chairperson of the judges of the NFVF Saftas Dr Janet Van Heerden. Making claims of R1 million from each of the parties involved.
In the case that they do not comply then Katlego Maboe will be at liberty to claim loss of income, psychological damage and damage to his reputation.
Brother to Monique Muller, Seth Muller has since publicly responded in an interview with TshisaLIVE. Stating that he had received the email concerning Katlego Maboe's claims. Further going on to divulge that the email stipulated that he would be required to apologize and to retract his statements or risk having legal action taken against him. However, Seth seemed unbothered by the letter and has no intention of complying with what was being asked of him.
“They are threatening me with a lawsuit. I’m not going to retract or apologise for anything. I didn’t do anything wrong so we can take it to court and sort it out in court,” he added."
He said that his sister Monique Muller had yet to receive her email requesting of her to do the same.
