Brenda Nokuzola Fassie was a legendary Afro-pop singer who lost her life in 2004. She was loved by many due to her talent and her dedication to her career. Not only was she dedicated to her music, she was also a mother. She had her son Bongani in 1985, and the two were too close. They would go to events together and she would do interviews with him. Another thing Bongani got from his mom is her beautiful voice because he is one of the most talented musicians.
It's been more than 18 years since Brenda lost her life, and Bongani is still talking about how much her death hurt him because they had a good relationship. Not forgetting she also raised him as a single mom. Bongani also shared that he named his first child Brenda in honor of his late mother. Here are more photos of them together.
Here, Bongani is pictured with a statue of his mom in Johannesburg Newtown .
