The South African economy has not been good especially this year, with everything that has been going on, people feel that every cent should be spent wisely on issues that are really beneficial!
Recently on the streets of Twitter, it was announced that KZN entertainment Awards will be held on the 15th of December 2020 where Artists who have outdone themselves will be awarded, achievers will be awarded with glittering trophies and cash prizes, the category winners will be awarded R100000 while overall achiever will get R500000.
But these news did not sit well with other people as they felt that it’s a lot of money and it could be spent on ‘Important’ things like building schools, opening firms and creating job opportunities, the emotions were mixed as some felt that it’s a good strategy that will help create job opportunities and attract tourists, below are some of the responses from Twitter:
