Unathi Nkayi breaks her silence on Kaya 959 firing and GBV allegations

Previous Kaya 959 radio personality Unathi Nkayi has ended her quiet on reports encompassing her terminating from the station. 

Unathi was booted from her noontime show recently, because of "certain direct that delivered the relationship terrible going ahead" and the station refering to "a breakdown of trust between the two gatherings". 

A source let TshisaLIVE know that the "certain episodes" suggested by the station referred to Unathi having blamed previous companion and Kaya Drive have Sizwe Dhlomo of boisterous attack. 


Taking to online media on Friday, Unathi posted a video of herself perusing an assertion tending to the cases. 

She professed to have been quieted by Kaya and said she was unable to talk about her terminating openly on account of legally binding commitments consultants had with the station. 

"I was explicitly informed that I can't utilize my foundation to share my variant of occasions. The main matter I will address, since me, is the topic of GBV that continues to come up." 

She asserted that "GBV didn't have anything to do with the matter". 

"I never claimed whenever that Sizwe submitted any demonstration of sex based viciousness against me." 

"Sizwe knows this. Kaya knows this. However, when Sizwe's remarks prompted individuals feeling that I made misleading indictments against Sizwe with respect to GBV and neither Sizwe nor Kaya do anything about the story, or to address the account, I'm clearly constrained to make some noise. 

"For the record, Sizwe and I both submitted recorded as a hard copy claims against one another, some established and some observed not to be from the two of us." 

She said she has given the make a difference to her lawyer to deal with. 

Sizwe prior this week took to Twitter to purportedly put any misinformation to rest after a City Press report affirmed that Unathi and Sizwe were engaged with a warmed contention. It asserted Unathi purportedly laid a conventional protest with the HR office, blaming Sizwe for boisterous attack and amateurish direct after he was late for his show. 

Sizwe said he didn't have anything to stow away and the City Press report was "for the most part obvious".
