The reigning queen of Limpopo music, Makhadzi, returned home yesterday after spending the previous week playing across Europe and the United Kingdom. She was invited to an event in that country, which surprised many people due to the fact that residents of that country speak only English, whereas Makhadzi can only sign in Tshivena and Sepedi.
The Limpopo-born celebrity Makhadzi, whose given name is Ndivhudzannyi, was surrounded by a crowd estimated to number in the hundreds upon thousands as they expressed their admiration for her and their support for her.
The media star Mohale Motaung, who had previously been married to Somizi Mhlongo, was waiting for her when she arrived at the airport. Mohale Motaung was there at OR Thambo International Airport with flowers for Makhadzi, and the occasion has a very particular significance for her along with the other people who had gathered there in anticipation of her arrival.
I'm very happy that Mohale has broken out of his shell because now we can all see the splendor of his heart and the genuine individual that he is when he's not around Somizi. He turned his lights down quite a bit.
