Somizi Mhlongo is poised to make a comeback on our screens after a little hiatus. After his estranged husband Mohale Motaung filed abuse allegations against him, Somizi was shown the exit door from Idols SA.
The acclaimed TV personality was also sacked by Metro FM in the wake of these bold charges.
In the midst of it all, he watched himself getting dropped by multiple brands.
Somizi appears to have regained his footing, despite the fact that his divorce is still pending. The famous TV personality we all despise has returned to our screens as the host of the Lovey Dovey show.
The concert will take place on March 18th. Its format is similar to Big Brother Mzansi, but with more drama and excitement as players seeking love will be imprisoned in one villa under cameras doing everything they can to win love.
Somizi makes a comeback to small screens with a role on Moja Love.
The contestants that win, however, must be willing to marry and get R500 000 in cash. The reality show will be filmed at a five-star villa with a view of the Vaal Dam. Contestants will be put to the test and will be given challenges to complete. There will be activities such as boat rides, water skiing, and sunset cruises to help them connect.
In an interview with the media, Moja Love CEO Aubrey Tau expressed his satisfaction with the level of expertise the channel was bringing in as well as the fresh programming that was being shown.
"On Moja Love, there's a lot to look forward to in the coming year. We'll have new concept series like Lovey Dovey, sitcoms like Umuzi Wabadala and KoStrateng, and X-Repo, as well as X-Repo."
Somizi thanked Moja Love for not judging him on social media. He promised Mzansi an epic show to remember. Somizi, on the other hand, appears to have been winning big lately. His reality show, Living the Dream with Somizi, is said to be returning this year as well.
