Multichoice has announced that they have let go of the judge Somizi.
This is days after he was also suspended from SABC'S Metro FM.
The statement for M-net read as follows: M-Net and Mr Somizi Mhlongo met to discuss his role on Idols in light of allegations made against him. We have reached a mutual agreement that Mr Mhlongo will take some time off to deal with his personal circumstances until this matter has been resolved.
Viewers will see her on air until August, 21.
Why is Somizi being take off air?
The media personality, is being accused of abuse by his ex partner Mohale Motaung. The two are currently going through a divorce. Mohale says he was abused three weeks into the relationship.
Somgaga has shared a statement recently on her Instagram to share his side of the story. He denied all the allegations of physical abuse and also rubbished that he tried to sabotage Mohale's career.
