Unfortunately top seven turned to top 6 tonight. The #IdolsSA top 6 performed their hearts out this Sunday.
the second contestant to make it to Idols Season 17 top 6 is Kevin. Kevin isn’t playing around. That performance of “Ubomi Abumanga” must have Sun-El Musician and Msaki feeling pretty good about their work.
A round of applause to Nqobile, the third person to make it to top 6. Nqobie certainly brought all the “Feelings” with that performance of the Zonke classic.
Congratulations to our beautiful S22kile the fourth person to make it to top 6. S’22kile came prepared for her performance of “Ntyilo Ntyilo”, the banger from the collaborative efforts of Rethabile Khumalo and Master KG. It’s unathi expecting everyone to perfect In speaking Xhosa, Berry butchered some words but was not reprimanded. S’22kile does and boom “African Language is all of a sudden important.
Unathi can be so dramatic sometimes you'dswear S22kile killed someone or she deliberately pronounced those Xhosa words incorrectly. Some contestants sing Zulu songs with a Joburg Zulu accent (C clique instead of Q) but she never put so much emphasis.
A huge congratulations to Karabo for making it to the top 6. What a voice! Karabo absolutely owned that #IdolsSA performance of Mafikizolo’s “Ngeke Balunge”.
Last but not least a round of applause to Daylin.Daylin’s performance of Lira’s “Something Inside So Strong” was riveting!
Unfortunately it’s the end of the road for Sia Mzizi. It's time to bid Sia Mzizi farewell, but we get a feeling it won't be long before we see him, again. Good luck, Sia.
