Former Generations the Legacy Moopi Mothibeli was born in Sebokeng, Gauteng, in 1985. The actor holds a bachelor's degree in drama and performing arts from Tswane University of Technology.

Moopi played the role of Smanga Moroka in Generations the Legacy. He left the show last year(2020) and hasn't been seen in our screens yet. Viewers were heartbroken with him leaving Generations the Legacy, but hoped that they would see him in other roles on television. He gained a lot of fans because of his charming character Smanga, who kept many glued to their televisions every weekdays at 8pm.

Smanga Moroka left for the United Kingdom to seek a new life and reconnect with his aunt Karabo Moroka. He left everything behind including the chance of being the heir of the Moroka empire to live a new life abroad.

After leaving Generations the actor was reported to be working on Hotele Lerallaneng, a film directed by Mfundi Vundls's son Charlie Vundla. Moopi is also passionate about photography which he said to be his childhood dream.

"Storytelling has been my childhood dream, I am privileged to have told the African story on and off the television. Now that I have decided to follow my photography dream, I wish to continue telling the same African story differently, " said Moopi. His passion is seen through his Instagram account, which is filled with beautiful art of photographs.
