Bonang and Rea's feud began last year, when Rea levelled some damaging claims against Bonang. When the YouTuber stated that the media celebrity had introduced her ex-boyfriend AKA to cocaine, it shocked everyone.
Of course, it is a wild accusation that has the potential to tarnish Bonang's reputation in the future. Bonang did say that she was going to court and demanding an apology from him. Rea apologized but continued to criticize Bonang Matheba. A few weeks ago Bonang informed her fans that she will now get into action and sue the youtuber since that the courts are open.
She announced on social media today that she had won a judgement of 300,000 rand. This is unquestionably a game changer, and youtubers and commentators will begin to be more cautious about what they say about other people, especially if they do so without facts or context.
In another tweet, Bonang mention that the next 30 years are going to be interesting or rather Fun for Rea. This is because this judgement is going to follow him for years to come and he is probably going to pay this money in installments for the next coming years depending on his financial situation.
Immediately after Bonang posted this, Rea posted a tweet and said he has no time for delusional woman. It's safe to say she was probably referring to the court judgement
Bonang released a statement on twitter and stated that the money will be paid to Bonang's foundation in the aims of helping other people. She did mention that she has no intention of benefiting from Rea financially on a personal level.
It is true that we have a right of freedom but that Right does not infringe on other people. It is also important that we remember that all those rights have responsibilities.
A big congratulations to Bonang and we hope Rea has learnt something from this.
