VIPInvite is a gospel music show that was televised on Sunday's 19:00pm. The show invites South African gospel musicians, and they share their journey on their music careers and perform their music. It is hosted by Hle a gospel artist most people might know her from joyous celebration but she has since been a solo artist and has been doing very well in her solo career.
On her facebook page Hle announced that the show has a new timeslot which is 13:30 pm on Sundays. This may not be surprising as the 19:00pm timeslot is for OPW. Our perfect wedding had taken a break and is now returning on air.
Viewers of the show complained about this new timeslot, as most of them argued that they would still be in church on that time. While others claimed they do not listen to gospel at that time of the day but other music.
Although some churches come out as early as 10:00 am, most of them come out at 13:00-14:00. People still have to walk home while other's drive home. Some have a routine of eating out on Sundays and enjoy it as a family day. Others felt that certain shows must be moved to make way for Hle's show.
This is how people commented on the new timeslot:
The timeslot of It's Gospel Time on SABC2 changed and it lost viewership. It's no longer on tv. This explains to why most people may feel that the changing timeslot might be the death of the show.
What are your views? What would have been the perfect time for the show or even day?
