On Appreciating Her Physique|Lamiez Holyworthy

After months of speculation that SABC1's long-running music show Live Amp was on the verge of being canceled, it was confirmed this past Friday that the show's 14-year run had come to an end as it wished its faithful audience farewell.

The show has been on our screens for almost a decade, with DJ Lamiez Holworthy and DJ Speedsta hosting the last three seasons. With their immaculate presenting talents, the duo joined the show in 2018 and quickly won the hearts of many South Africans. DJ Lamiez opened out about her Live Amp adventure to TshisaLIVE.

For utilizing the performance to inspire millions of people, the DJ recognized herself as a game changer. She said she was able to increase women's self-esteem despite the negative body shaming comments they face on a regular basis. Lamiez claimed that the show needed someone like her, which is why she stayed for so long.

"I've been on LiveAMP for a long time because I'm different, because I'm the change that the world, and especially SA, urgently needed." Little girls wanted to see a lady who looked like them, and other women needed to see real women, ladies with stretch marks, cellulite, and large thighs, and they needed to know that it was okay.

The DJ is no new to cyberbullying on the internet. Trolls who wish to put a damper on her mood frequently subject her to body shaming. She is a man stuck in a feminine body, according to a catfish account. This comes after she tweeted a photo of herself dressed in brown shorts, a white blouse, a black blazer, and black shoes.

While the DJ was dressed to impress, the catfish account was spewing bile at her. Lamiez, not one to be trifled with, clapped back and stated that she feels at ease in her own skin. She slammed false accounts for continuously projecting their vulnerabilities onto others.
