Read Khuzani's Response On Not Getting Nominated At The SAMAs

Famous Maskandi artist Khuzani Mpungose has finally responded to South African Music Awards organisers and fans for not being included in any of the categories that he expected to be nominated for. Khuzani responded with a post on his Instagram page and this is what he stated :

'SAMA Organisers mentioned that they don't judge according to how popular a certain song is, or how many people love that song. Even if a song win crossover song of the year or gets more airplay, it is still judged the same as other not so popular songs. When they judge, they also don't focus on how much fame a certain artist has and that all artists are the same to them when it comes to judging. These words were said by Comfort Nkosi who's one of the workers at SAMA.'

'Their reasons are clear and straight forward, the Awards organisers also follow certain rules and regulations that they work under. SAMAs are a project that was started by human beings, they don't force no one to enter but it's all up to an artist if he/she wants to enter. You cannot be the one who sends your music to someone and If that person don't put your music on the list you then bad talk him/her.'

'The most important thing is that I do own a SAMA award that was accompanied by a cheque of R10 000 .This means a lot to me and my fans, we are thankful for that opportunity. SAMAs are not an event where fans do the judging. There are four judges that are hired by SAMAs, these judges are people who come from our communities. Some of them are people who work with music and have feelings like everyone else. Let's also respect and congratulate all those who received nominations.'
