More and more South African celebrities are heeding to their ancestoral callings and becoming sangoma. From TV personalities to musicians, they are coming out and saying they've accepted the calling of being sangomas.
Kwaito star, Lvovo Derango, Uzalo actress, Baby Cele, TV presenter and singer, Boity Thulo, actress Letoya Makhene, singer Kelly Khumalo, singer Phelo Bala, singer Buhle Mda are amongst celebrities who are now sangomas.
Masechaba Ndlovu is one of the latest. The young media personality recently headed to her Instagram to share the news with her followers.
TELEVISION and radio personality, who is now Minister of Arts and Culture, Nathi Mthethwa's spokesperson,Masechaba Ndlovu has joined other celebrities who are sangomas.
She confirmed that she has accepted ancestral calling and is now a sangoma. She posted pictures on Instagram wearing traditional sangoma regalia and performing traditional ritual.
Taking to the app Ndlovu explained that she was undergoing a fresh start with a renewed mindset. Her post included pictures of her sitting on the ground in her traditional gogo attire while performing a ritual. "A fresh start isn't a new place, it's a new mindset. #NtuLulama @ntululama #HealthIsWealth," she captioned the post.
Social media took to comment section and expressed their thoughts in Masechaba being a sangoma.
