Mzansi's media personality who was recently fired from Kaya Fm has broken the silence and gave her side of the story in relation to her being fired.
Unathi Nkayi is a South African media personality known for being the judge of IdolsSA whereby she gives judgement regarding performances of different citizens competing with their talents. She is previously known for being part GQ Magazine whereby she was recently fired. Nkayi was a presenter on Kaya FM but not anymore as she was dismissed by the radio station following an alleged fight between her and her then colleague being Sizwe Dhlomo.
It has a while since Unathi Nkayi was fired from Kaya FM and finally she has decided to open up about certain things in relation to her being fired from the mentioned radio station.
"I have been silenced by Kaya FM. I received a letter stating that i may not speak about this matter publicly because of the contracts and agreements we all have as freelancers. I was specifically told that i cannot use my platform to share my version of events", Unathi Nkayi said in a video.
"I never alleged at any time that Sizwe commited any act of GBV against me. Sizwe knows this, Kaya knows this. For the record, Sizwe and i both submitted in writing allegations against each other. Some found it and some found not to be both from us. I have handed the matter against Kaya to my attorney to handle legally", Unathi Nkayi added.
It is so sad that the world does not get to know the other side of the story being Unathi's story. There are contracts and agreements allegedly not allowing Unathi to speak up about what had happened between her and Sizwe but her side of the story is needed.
When the public makes decisions and point fingers, they need to know what really happened from both sides before having to blame only one person due to one story being known. However, it is good that Unathi has shared a piece of her story so that the public gets to know what is happening.
