Ntombezinhle Jiyane (born December 30, 1983) is a South African DJ, producer, media personality, and entrepreneur best known as DJ Zinhle and a mother to a 6-year-old daughter, Kairo Forbes, who she shares with her former partner, rapper AKA has confirmed pregnancy speculations. In the teaser video for her new reality TV program, DJ Zinhle – Unexpected which Premiers on 18 September at 19:30 on BET Africa (DStv 129).
The series follows DJ Zinhle as she informs her siblings, mother, and close friends about her pregnancy, with the help of her close friends Pearl Thusi and Nomuzi Mabena. Murdah Bongz, of Black Motion fame, is also featured in the video, with whom she is pregnant by is also shown in the clip. Zinhle is seen sitting down and caressing her stomach towards the end of the video, which is very Beyoncé. Zinhle, who is famously secretive, revealed her connection with Bongz in an Instagram Q&A session last month.
When a fan asked, "How did Bongani show you he loved you?" she offered an endearing tale about how the two quickly connected when he wrote a song for her.
“I discovered an old vinyl record in my collection. “On the cover was a letter I wrote to my father after he died in 2010,” she explained.
“I don't even remember writing the letter, but I was overcome with emotion when I discovered it.
Bongani sampled the track and created a tune for me.”
DJ Zinhle stated in a statement, "I've never wanted to do a reality TV program; however, this time around, I wanted my pregnancy to be different, and I wanted to enjoy it with those I love deeply while also having the chance to share the experience with my followers later."
