Mandla Mandela, Head of the Mandela clan royal house, has issued a statement regarding the Miss Universe event. He strongly advises Miss SA to join the protest against Miss Universe.
Mandela stated that under the royal palace, this statement is issued and it calls on the global players to boycott this event.
Mandela first congratulated the winner of the 2021 Miss SA, Lalela Mswane.
In the statement, Mandela first expressed his shock that the global event is to be held in Israel.
He stated that he wants the new Miss SA to protest the event and not allow herself to attend it.
He described Israel as an ‘’Apartheid’’ state in his own understanding. He said this is because of the cruel treatment which is being faced by the Palestinians in Palestine.
He said the current Miss SA must stand in solidarity with Palestine people.
He further stated that he calls on Twitter users to support the visit of Muna El Kurd and also join them in boycotting the event.
