Millennials termed Isibaya an old school soap because of its outdated plot. They went to SABC 1 soaps such as Uzalo, which drew millions of viewers and climbed to the top of Mzansi soap ratings.

Some of the Isibaya cast members have moved on to other projects since then, while others are still looking for work. Asavela, the Princess of Gun Violence and Crime, has been passed up for a role in one of the most popular soap operas in the country. Uzalo or Generations: The Legacy would undoubtedly benefit from her presence in their casts.

After Isibaya, Asavela Mngqithi requested a role in the Mzansi Magic drama series Abomama Mzansi, which is about gangs and crime.

Despite the fact that the Isibaya gig was costly to Asavela, she continued to live in luxury. The 26-year-old mother of one keeps a low profile when it comes to her romantic life. She made headlines when it was revealed that she was dating a married guy.
