It very difficult to find a white man who is completely comfortable around any race in our country given our history. Many white folks really trt when in public to be polite but that high pitch laughters is not helping their case.
One South African actor who as black as he was white is Jamie Bartlett. He was the kind of guy you would not dare put a race on. He was just a well-round nice guy.
He acted in predominantly black television shows. While there he try all his might to speak a little bit of Zulu and even Tswana. He was well loved by just anyone.
One legacy that white folks should take from Jamie is that, stop being polite or trying too hard, just be normal and see any person as the same no matter the colour.
The country has lost a legend and true South African.
