SABC One used to be the place to be in the early nineties. There were no smartphones and much of our entertainment was from TV. It was a totally different time.
The nineties were a time when families used to sit together and watch television. God forbid they start playing kissing scenes, then everyone just start getting tense. Parents would even start sending kids to go fetch water.
There was no Dstv and channels like channel O and other music channels that played music 24 hours a day. People used to keep music books with lyrics of songs written inside.
After Studio Mix, she went to read the news on the Glencito Avenue with Dj Glenn Lewis on Metro FM.
That was back in the early 2000. She has been with Metro FM ever since. This is a legendary woman that should be celebrated.
She got married to one of the members of the Tkzee family, Zwai Bala. Unfortunately they have since gotten a divorce.
Keep shining Melanie, those of us who grew up in the nineties still remember how great you were and still are.
