Cassper Nyovest gets body shamed by fan after he posted this video - see reactions.

Refiloe Maele Phoolo, "Cassper Nyovest" posted a video of himself and some gentleman dancing at an event. He was dancing for his fans with one of the most famous amapiano songs playing in the background. Most fans enjoyed his dance and entire vibe, however, this one fan wrote a disappointing comment that had body shaming in it.

Apparently, Cassper Nyovest does not care about the gym and his weight, but he seriously needs to hit the gym because he is now overweight. Especially, compared to how his body looked during his biggest show, "Fill up". Furthermore, he was advised to "do something" by the seemingly disappointed "loyal fan". He / She even supplied one of Cassper's pictures from the past, comparing it to his current look.

While ,this was one opinion from one commentor, another one commented with a video suggesting that Cassper's way of dancing was not appropriate for men. This specific video left people in stitches.

You can watch it here :

Because of societal values embedded in most South Africans , people seem to be given consent to body shame men. It is perceived as correct and normal while it is not. Body shaming can contribute a lot to a person's life, negatively so. It can reduce their self esteem and cause them to have issues with their body even though they initially did not.

Body shaming is wrong and totally unacceptable. Everyone is very aware of his / her body shape, size and form. They do not need any reminder or dictator to tell them that it is time to hit the gym, lose weight or gain. It is about time that people learn to keep their negative opinions concealed, especially if they are going to degrade the next person's character, dignity, interests and identity in society.
