After hosting the midday show on Metro FM, the radio presenter decided to bow out of the show. Pearl Modiadie cohosted Lunch with Thomas & Pearl with Thomas Msengana and both left the station earlier this year.
A few months ago, Pearl revealed that she has been sexually assaulted and treated like a sex object by the station manager. Reports claimed she has taken legal actions against Metro Fm for failing to act on the sexual harassment she lodged against her superior.

Pearl Modiadie has sued SABC and Metro Fm programme manager R3.5million for sexual harassment. City Press Publication has confirmed that the court papers alleged that the SABC has failed to act against Anthony Soglo sexually aggressive behavior towards her. It also appears that Mr. Soglo's inappropriate email concerning Pearl Modiadie has not been taken seriously despite a letter of demand sent to the SABC in June.
Gugu Ntuli, the executive for corporate affairs and marketing of the SABC group confirmed that the station was served by court but was not at liberty of speaking about the matter on a public platform.
