A Quick Look Into Elaine’s Journey On Relocating To The US

The South African RnB star has since moved to the United States, and admits it has been a huge learning curve for her.

She has joined the likes of Bonang and Trevor Noah in the States in a bid to broaden her singing career.

She took a Q&A session on Instagram, where she reflected on her journey and her experience of adjusting to a foreign country.

“It’s definitely been a huge learning curve,” she said. “I’m learning a lot about myself which I’m grateful for. I miss my family and friends so much but I’m having a great ass time,” she continued.

Like many others in the entertainment industry, Elaine’s biggest dream was to be recognised on a global scale, and what better way to achieve this goal other than moving closer to where all dreams seems to come true?

On the Q&A, she said that her academic career was on hold despite being accepted to study an LLB. “Practising is currently the furthest thing on my mind. I did apply and get accepted to do my LLB this year but I decided to put that on hold because I’m not in a place where I can commit to that right now. I also didn’t enjoy the university experience. I’ll revisit it in the future but for now, strictly album mode,” she said.

She also made it clear that time management and discipline saw her through her studies and music career, but she was not willing to do both again at this point and time.

Well, they do say that some things must be sacrificed in order to make way for others. Fortunately, we’ve all heard her sing and we can all agree that she will prosper in this industry and that she will not be living in regret for the rest of her life.
